The Vashon Community has a long history of giving scholarships to graduating seniors. The Vashon Gay Pride Alliance (now Vashon Pride Alliance) has given scholarships to Vashon High School seniors since 1995 who were supportive of diversity and the community, not necessarily those who identified as LGBTQ.
